Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaaf. By the Glorious Koran! 1 But nay - they deem it strange that a warner should have come unto them from their own midst; and so these deniers of the truth are saying, "A strange thing is this! 2 What, when we are dead and become dust? That is a far returning!' 3 We know all that the earth takes away of them, and a Book of Records is with Us. 4 Nay, but they have denied the truth when it came unto them, therefor they are now in troubled case. 5 What, have they never observed the heaven above them, (and seen) how We built and adorned it, leaving no crack? 6 And the earth! We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and have produced therein every kind of lovely growth (plants). 7 To give sight and as a reminder to every servant who turns frequently (to Allah). 8 And We sent down the auspicious water from the sky, therefore producing gardens with it, and the grain that is harvested. 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, 10 As sustenance for (Allah's) Servants;- and We give (new) life therewith to land that is dead: Thus will be the Resurrection. 11 In the past Noah's people, and the people of Rass and Thamud gave the lie (to Messengers), 12 Ad, the Pharaoh, Lot, 13 The Companions of the Wood, and the People of Tubba'; each one (of them) rejected the messengers, and My warning was duly fulfilled (in them). 14 Were We then fatigued with the first creation? Yet are they in doubt with regard to a new creation. 15
