The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 And He is the Forgiving, and the Loving. 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 Of Pharaoh and (the tribe of) Thamud? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
