The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Certainly will the believers have succeeded: 1 Who are humble in their service, 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 and who are intent on inner purity; 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 Those who seek beyond that are transgressors. 7 And who are shepherds of their pledge and their covenant, 8 And they who carefully maintain their prayers - 9 These are the heirs 10 Who shall inherit the Firdaus (Paradise). They shall dwell therein forever. 11 We created man from the finest extract of clay, 12 Then We made him a small seed in a firm resting-place, 13 then We made this drop into a clot, then We made the clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We caused it to grow into another creation. Thus Most Blessed is Allah, the Best of all those that create. 14 Then lo! after that ye surely die. 15 and you will be brought back to life again on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And indeed We have created seven paths above you; and We are not unmindful of the creation. 17 And We send down water from the skies in accordance with a measure [set by Us,] and then We cause it to lodge in the earth: but, behold, We are most certainly able to withdraw this [blessing]! 18 With it We grow for you gardens of date-palms and vines: in them have ye abundant fruits: and of them ye eat (and have enjoyment),- 19 And We also produced the tree which springs forth from Mount Sinai, containing oil and sauce for those that eat. 20 And lo! in the cattle there is verily a lesson for you. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and many uses have ye in them, and of them do ye eat; 21 and upon them and on the ships you are carried. 22
