It is God who made the cattle for you so that some you ride and some you eat. 79 There are advantages for you in them, so that you may satisfy your needs through them, and may be borne upon them and on ships. 80 And He shows you (always) His Signs: then which of the Signs of Allah will ye deny? 81 Do they not travel through the earth and see what was the End of those before them? They were more numerous than these and superior in strength and in the traces (they have left) in the land: Yet all that they accomplished was of no profit to them. 82 for when their apostles came to them with all evidence of the truth, they arrogantly exulted in whatever knowledge they [already] possessed: and [so, in the end,] they were overwhelmed by the very thing which they were wont to deride. 83 And when they saw Our Might, they said: 'We believe in Allah alone, and we disbelieve in that we used to associate with Him' 84 Then their Faith (in Islamic Monotheism) could not avail them when they saw Our punishment. (Like) this has been the way of Allah in dealing with His slaves. And there the disbelievers lost utterly (when Our Torment covered them). 85
