The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 and when the seas boil over, 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 when the buried infant shall be asked 8 For what sin she was killed 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 (Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself). 14 Oh, but I call to witness the planets, 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 And the breath of morning 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 of power, given a rank by the Owner of the Throne 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 For, this fellow-man of yours is not a madman: 22 And indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (Prophet Mohammed saw Angel Jibreel in his true shape – peace and blessings be upon them). 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 And the Qur’an is not the recitation of Satan the outcast. 25 So whither do you stray? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 For whoever wills among you to take a right course. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
