Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
HaMeem. 1 The sending down of the Book is from Allah, the Almighty, the Wise. 2 Most surely in the heavens and the earth there are signs for the believers. 3 In your creation and in that of the beasts living on earth there is evidence of the Truth for the people who have strong faith. 4 and in the succession of night and day, and in the means of subsistence which God sends down from the skies, giving life thereby to the earth after it had been lifeless, and in the circulation of the winds: [in all this] there are signs for people who use their reason. 5 These are the portents of Allah which We recite unto thee (Muhammad) with truth. Then in what fact, after Allah and His portents, will they believe? 6 Woe to all the guilty impostors! 7 who hears the signs of God being recited to him, then perseveres in waxing proud, as if he has not heard them; so give him the good tidings of a painful chastisement. 8 When he learns something of Our revelations, he derides them: for such there will be humiliating torment. 9 Behind them Gehenna; and that they have earned shall not avail them aught, nor those they took as protectors, apart from God; for them awaits a mighty chastisement. 10 This Book is guidance, and those who disbelieve in the revelations of their Lord, theirs shall be torment of calamity, afflictive. 11
