(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 From a seed when lodged (in its place); 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 And (the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
