The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

When the earth is shaken with its violent shaking, 1 and [when] the earth yields up her burdens, 2 And man enquires: "What has come over it?" 3 That day it will narrate its annals, 4 For your Lord will have commanded it. 5 On that day men will return towards their Lord, in different groups, in order to be shown their deeds. 6 So, whoever does an atom's weight of good shall see it; 7 and he who shall have done an atom's weight of evil, shall behold it. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
