Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great affliction. 76 And, his progeny, them We made the survivors (i.e. Shem, Ham and Japheth). 77 and left for him among the later folk 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the nations. 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 and said to his father and his people: “Whom do you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 What do you imagine the Lord of the worlds to be?" 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 and at that they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he went quietly to the (temple of the deities) and said: “What is the matter with you, why do you not eat? 91 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?" 92 He struck them with his right hand. 93 [But] then the others came towards him hurriedly [and accused him of his deed]. 94 He said, "How can you worship what you yourselves have carved 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 They spoke among themselves: “Build him a pyre and then throw him into the furnace.” 97 So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject. 98 And he said, “Indeed I shall go to my Lord Who will guide me.” 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 And when he reached the age of traveling with him, he said: 'My son, while I was sleeping I saw that I shall slaughter (sacrifice) you, tell me what is your opinion' He replied: 'Father, do as you are ordered (by Allah). Allah willing, you shall find me one of those who are steadfast' 102 When they had both submitted to God, and he had laid his son down on his face, 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 Of a surety thou hast fulfilled the vision. Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 "Peace upon Abraham." 109 That is how We reward those who do good. 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Is-haq, a prophet, and of the righteous. 112 And We sent blessings upon him and Ishaq; and among their descendants – some who do good deeds, and some who clearly wrong themselves. 113
