The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ The Merciful 1 has imparted this Qur'an [unto man]. 2 He created man 3 and taught him its pronunciation. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning. 5 The stars and the trees prostrate themselves. 6 He raised the heavens and set up the measure, 7 (Transgress not in the Balance, 8 And observe the weight with equity, and make not deficient the balance. 9 And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures, 10 There are fruits of all kinds on it, and date-palms with their clusters sheathed, 11 And the grain with (its) husk and fragrance. 12 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 13 He created the human being from clay like that used for pottery 14 And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. 15 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 16 He is Lord of the two easts and Lord of the two wests. 17 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 18 He released the two seas, meeting [side by side]; 19 and between them is a barrier which they do not overpass. 20 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 21 Out of these two [bodies of water] come forth pearls, both great and small. 22 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 23 To Him only belong the sailing ships, raised above the sea like hills. 24 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 25
