Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 As justification or warning, 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 until an appointed time? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 for the living and the dead? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
