We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
