Believers! Fight against those deniers of the truth who are near you. Deal firmly with them. Know that God is with those who fear Him. 123 Whenever a sura is sent down to thee, some of them say, 'Which of you has this increased in belief?' As for the believers, them it has increased in belief, and they are joyful. 124 And as for those in whose hearts is a disease, unto them it hath increased pollution to their pollution, and they die while they are infidels. 125 See they not that they are tried every year once or twice? Yet they turn not in repentance, and they take no heed. 126 And whenever there comes down a Surah (chapter from the Quran), they look at one another (saying): "Does any one see you?" Then they turn away. Allah has turned their hearts (from the light) because they are a people that understand not. 127 A Messenger from your own people has come to you. Your destruction and suffering is extremely grievous to him. He really cares about you and is very compassionate and merciful to the believers. 128 But if they turn away, [O Muhammad], say, "Sufficient for me is Allah; there is no deity except Him. On Him I have relied, and He is the Lord of the Great Throne." 129
