The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ WHEN WHAT IS to happen comes to pass -- 1 There is no denying that it will befall - 2 (Many) will it bring low; (many) will it exalt; 3 When the earth will be shaken with a terrible shake. 4 and the mountains are shattered into [countless] shards, 5 becoming scattered dust, 6 And ye are classes three. 7 Thus, there shall be such as will have attained to what is right: oh, how [happy] will be they who have attained to what is right! 8 Companions of the Left (O Companions of the Left!) 9 And the foremost are the foremost, 10 Those are the ones brought near [to Allah] 11 in the beautiful Paradise. 12 a good many of those of olden times, 13 And a few of the later peoples, 14 On thrones woven [with ornament], 15 reclining upon them, facing one another [in love]. 16 Surrounded by immortal boys. 17 Cups and decanters, beakers full of sparkling wine, 18 by which their minds will not be clouded and which will not make them drunk; 19 And fruits that they may like. 20 and such flesh of fowl as they desire, 21 And wide eyed houris 22 The likes unto pearls hidden. 23 A recompense for that which they have been working. 24 There hear they no vain speaking nor recrimination 25 only the saying 'Peace, Peace!' 26 And those on the right how (fortunate) are those on the right! 27 They will live amid the thornless lot trees 28 And banana-trees (with fruits), one above another. 29 And extended shade, 30 and flowing water 31 and fruits in abundance, 32 Unending, unforbidden, 33 And raised couches; 34 We have indeed developed these women with an excellent development. 35 And made them virginal, 36 The beloved of their husbands, of one age. 37 For those of the right hand. 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
