The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the Occurrence occurs, 1 There is, at its occurrence, no denial. 2 It will bring down [some] and raise up [others]. 3 When the earth shall be shaken to its depths, 4 And the mountains shall be made to crumble with (an awful) crumbling, 5 So that they become dust seattered. 6 [on that Day,] then, shall you be [divided into] three kinds. 7 (First) those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? 8 And (as to) the companions of the left hand; how wretched are the companions of the left hand! 9 The foremost ones (in faith and virtue) - the foremost ones in receiving their reward. 10 They shall be the nearest to God. 11 in the Gardens of Bliss. 12 (a throng of the ancients 13 And a few of later ages, 14 upon close-wrought couches 15 Reclining therein face to face. 16 Round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness), 17 Carrying bowls and pitchers and cups filled with wine flowing before them. 18 which will not cause them any intoxication or illness. 19 with fruits of their own choice 20 Bird meats that they relish, 21 and there shall be wide-eyed maidens, 22 Like unto preserved pearls. 23 A reward for what they used to do. 24 They shall not hear therein vain or sinful discourse, 25 But only the saying of: Salam!, Salam! (greetings with peace)! 26 The Companions of the Right 27 mid thornless lote-trees 28 and flower-clad acacias, 29 And shade extended 30 and flowing water 31 and fruit abounding, 32 Unending, unforbidden, 33 And couches raised up. 34 Lo! We have created them a (new) creation 35 And made them virginal, 36 chaste, loving companions of the same age 37 with those who have attained to righteousness: 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
