The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ (Allah) Most Gracious! 1 who taught the Quran -- 2 He created man 3 and He has taught him the Explanation. 4 The sun and moon rotate in a predestined orbit. 5 The stars and the trees prostrate. 6 And the heaven, He raised it high, and He made the balance 7 That you may not be inordinate in respect of the measure. 8 But observe the measure strictly, nor fall short thereof. 9 And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures. 10 with fruit thereon, and palm trees with sheathed clusters [of dates,] 11 And grain covered with husk, and fragrant flowers. 12 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 13 He created man (Adam) from sounding clay like the clay of pottery. 14 whereas the invisible beings He has created out of a confusing flame of fire. 15 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 16 (He is) the Lord of the two easts (places of sunrise during early summer and early winter) and the Lord of the two wests (places of sunset during early summer and early winter). 17 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 18 He has made the two oceans meet each other, 19 Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses. 20 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 21 Out of them come Pearls and Coral: 22 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 23 Also, His are the ships that run, raised up like mountains upon the sea. 24 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 25
