The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER those [stars] that rise only to set, 1 By the angels who release with gentle release. 2 And by those who glide along (on errands of mercy), 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 And by those angels who arrange to do the Commands of their Lord, (so verily, you disbelievers will be called to account). 5 On the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world], 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 What! when we are rotten bones? 11 and they say, "That indeed would be a losing return." 12 However, it will only take a single blast 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 15 When his Lord called to him in Tuwa's holy vale? 16 [saying], "Go to Pharaoh, he has exceeded all bounds, 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 ‘And I may guide you to your Lord, so that you may fear.’” 19 And he showed him the greatest sign, 20 but he cried lies, and rebelled, 21 Then he turned away in a hurry, 22 Then gathered he and summoned 23 Saying: "I am alone your lord, the highest of them all." 24 you pay attention 25 Surely, in this there is a lesson for he that fears! 26
