The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Ta Sin! These are the verses of the Quran and the Book that makes (things) clear 1 it is guidance and good news for the believers 2 Those who perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) and give Zakat and they believe with certainty in the Hereafter (resurrection, recompense of their good and bad deeds, Paradise and Hell, etc.). 3 As for those who will not believe in the life to come - behold, goodly have We made their own doings appear unto them, and so they stumble blindly to and fro 4 those are they whom an evil chastisement awaits, and they will be the greatest losers in the Hereafter. 5 Lo! as for thee (Muhammad), thou verily receivest the Qur'an from the presence of One Wise, Aware. 6 (Remember) when Moses said to his family: "I see a fire. I shall bring you news from it, or bring an ember that you may warm yourselves." 7 But when he came to the (fire), a voice was heard: "Blessed are those in the fire and those around: and glory to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 8 Moses, I am God, the Majestic and All-wise. 9 And cast thou down thy staff. Then when he saw it wriggling as though it were a serpent, he turned in flight and looked not back. O Musa! fear thou not; verily in My presence the sent ones fear not. 10 save him who has done evil, then; after evil, has changed into good; All-forgiving am I, All-compassionate. 11 Thrust thy hand in thy bosom and it will come forth white without evil-among nine signs to Pharaoh and his people; they are an ungodly people.' 12 But when Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) came to them, clear to see, they said: "This is a manifest magic." 13 And they rejected them, while their [inner] selves were convinced thereof, out of injustice and haughtiness. So see how was the end of the corrupters. 14
