The people of the Wood too called the messengers liars. 176 Recall, when Shuayb said to them: "Have you no fear? 177 I am for you an honest Messenger. 178 So fear God and follow me. 179 I ask of you no reward for this. My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure, do not be among the cheats, 181 And weigh (things) with a right balance, 182 and diminish not the goods of the people, and do not mischief in the earth, working corruption. 183 Fear He who created you, and the generations of the ancient' 184 They said: You are only of those deluded; 185 And you are naught but a mortal like ourselves, and we know you to be certainly of the liars. 186 Cause, then, fragments of the sky to fall down upon us, if thou art a man of truth!" 187 He. said: My Lord is the Best Knower of that which ye work. 188 But they rejected him. Then the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom seized them, and that was the Penalty of a Great Day. 189 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 191
