Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 storming tempestuously 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 excusing or warning, 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 The living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
