The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 Then those that make raids at morn, 3 thereby raising clouds of dust, 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 And most surely he is a witness of that. 7 And indeed he is ardent for the love of good (wealth, becoming greedy). 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 And the secrets of the breasts are made known, 10 On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them. 11
