▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ But nay! I swear by the falling of stars; 75 And verily that is a mighty oath, if ye but knew! 76 Most surely it is an honored Quran, 77 [conveyed unto man] in a well-guarded divine writ 78 which none but the pure may touch; 79 Sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. 80 Would you, now, look down with disdain on a tiding like this, 81 do you make it your provision to belie it? 82 Why, but when the soul leaps to the throat of the dying 83 and that hour you are watching 84 But We are nearer to him than ye, and yet see not,- 85 why, if you are not at Our disposal, 86 do you not restore his soul, if you are truthful? 87 Thus, then, if he be of those Nearest to Allah, 88 happiness [awaits him in the life to come,] and inner fulfillment, and a garden of bliss. 89 And if he is one of the People on the Right, 90 Then peace to you from those on the right hand. 91 And if he is one of those who give the lie (to this Message) and go astray, 92 The welcome will be boiling water 93 And a hurling into the blazing fire. 94 Lo! this is certain truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Great Lord. 96
God the Almighty always says the truth.
