Believers! Do not swallow interest, doubled and redoubled, and be mindful of Allah so that you may attain true success. 130 and beware of the fire which awaits those who deny the truth! 131 And obey Allah and the apostle, haply ye may be shewn mercy. 132 ۞ Hasten to obtain forgiveness from your Lord and to qualify yourselves for Paradise. Paradise, vast as the heavens and the earth, is prepared for the pious 133 who spend in prosperity and in adversity, for those who curb their anger and those who forgive people. And Allah loves the charitable 134 who, when they commit an indecency or wrong themselves, remember God, and pray forgiveness for their sins -- and who shall forgive sins but God? -- and do not persevere in the things they did and that wittingly. 135 For such the reward is forgiveness from their Lord, and Gardens with rivers flowing underneath,- an eternal dwelling: How excellent a recompense for those who work (and strive)! 136 Many eras have passed before you. Go about, then, in the land and behold the end of those who gave the lie to (the directives and ordinances of Allah). 137 This is a declaration for mankind, a guidance and an admonition unto those who ward off (evil) 138 Be not, then, faint of heart, and grieve not: for you are bound to rise high if you are [truly] believers. 139 If ye have received a blow, the (disbelieving) people have received a blow the like thereof. These are (only) the vicissitudes which We cause to follow one another for mankind, to the end that Allah may know those who believe and may choose witnesses from among you; and Allah loveth not wrong-doers. 140 and that God might render pure of all dross those who have attained to faith, and bring to nought those who deny the truth. 141 Did ye think that ye would enter Heaven without Allah testing those of you who fought hard (In His Cause) and remained steadfast? 142 You used to wish for death before you met it, so you have seen it while you were looking. 143
