T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta, Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to you that you should be burdened, 2 Except as a reminder for one who fears. 3 A revelation from Him (Allah) Who has created the earth and high heavens. 4 the All Merciful settled on the throne. 5 Unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth, as well as all that is between them and all that is beneath the sod. 6 And if thou say anything aloud, [He hears it] since, behold, He knows [even] the secret [thoughts of man] as well as all that is yet more hidden [within him]. 7 Allah - there is no god but He. His are the most excellent names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 9 When he saw a fire and said unto his folk: Lo! Wait! I see a fire afar off. Peradventure I may bring you a brand therefrom or may find guidance at the fire. 10 When he came close to it, a voice called out, "Moses, 11 "O Moses, I am verily your Lord, so take off your shoes, for you are in the holy plain of Towa. 12 And I! I have chosen thee, hearken thou then to that which shall be revealed. 13 I am God. There is no deity save Me; so worship Me alone, and say your prayers in My remembrance. 14 Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it - so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives. 15 “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.” 16 And what is in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said: This is my staff whereon I lean, and wherewith I bear down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses. 18 (Allah) said: "Cast it down, O Musa (Moses)!" 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent, gliding. 20 He said: Grasp it and fear not. We shall return it to its former state. 21 And press thy hand to thy side, it will come forth white, without hurt, as another sign. 22 for We shall show you some of Our greatest Signs. 23 Go to Firon, surely he has exceeded all limits. 24
