Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 for an appointed term? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
