We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. – 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
