And when the messengers came unto the family of Lot, 61 he said to them: 'I do not know you' 62 They replied, "We have come to you about the matter which the (unbelievers) have rejected. 63 “And we have brought to you a true command, and indeed we are truthful.” 64 Go, then, with thy household while it is yet night, with thyself following them in the rear; and let none of you look back, but proceed whither you are bidden." 65 And We made known to him this decree that the wrongdoers were to be utterly cut off in the morning. 66 In the meantime the people of the city came to Lot rejoicing. 67 [Lot] said, "Indeed, these are my guests, so do not shame me. 68 and fear God, and do not degrade me.' 69 They replied: 'Have we not forbidden you (the people of) the worlds' 70 Lot exclaimed in exasperation: "If you are bent on doing something, then here are my daughters." 71 By your life O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) – they are indeed straying in their intoxication. 72 So As-Saihah (torment - awful cry, etc.) overtook them at the time of sunrise; 73 And We made the highest part [of the city] its lowest and rained upon them stones of hard clay. 74 There are great Signs in this for those endowed with intelligence. 75 That town lies on a road which still exists. 76 Most surely there is a sign in this for the believers. 77 The dwellers of the Wood (near Midian) were also wicked. 78 So We punished them too. They are both situated by the highway, clearly visible. 79

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
