The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 who determined and guided, 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. 7 We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 But it will be avoided by the wretched, 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
