Therefore continue to give warning, for by the grace of your Lord, you are not a soothsayer or a madman. 29 If they say, "He is but a poet; we are waiting for some misfortune to befall him," 30 Tell them: “Wait; I too am waiting with you.” 31 Or do their intellects bid them do this? Or are they an insolent people? 32 Or do they say: "He (Muhammad SAW) has forged it (this Quran)?" Nay! They believe not! 33 Then let them bring an announcement like it if they are truthful. 34 Did they come into being without any creator? Or were they their own creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather they are not certain. 36 Or do they have the treasures of your Lord, or are they the authority? 37 Do they have a ladder (by which they can climb up to the heavens) and listen (to the angels) and come back to the rest of the people with clear authority? 38 Do the daughters belong to Him and the sons to you? 39 Or is it that thou dost ask for a reward, so that they are burdened with a load of debt?- 40 Or [do they think] that the hidden reality [of all that exists] is almost within their grasp, so that [in time] they can write it down? 41 Or, do they desire to outwit? The unbelievers are the outwitted. 42 Or have they an ilah (a god) other than Allah? Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partners (to Him) 43 If they should see a part of the heavens falling down, they would say, "A mass of clouds," 44 So leave them until they meet their Day in which they will be struck insensible - 45 The Day when their plotting shall not avail them at all nor will they be helped (i.e. they will receive their torment in Hell). 46 The unjust will suffer other torments besides this but most of them do not know. 47 Wait patiently for the command of your Lord. We are watching over you. Glorify your Lord when you rise during the night 48 And proclaim His Purity during the night, and when the stars turn back. 49
