So did you observe him who turned away? 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
