Nay, by the Moon 32 And the night when it departs, 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 a warning to humankind, 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 Except the companions of the right, 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 “What took you into the hell?” 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 And we used to deny the Day of Recompense 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 running away from a lion? 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. 56
