The Human (Al-Insan)
31 verses, revealed in Medina after The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman) before Divorce (Al-Talaaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Indeed, there came upon the human a period of time when he was an unremembered thing. 1 Verily We created Man from a drop of mingled sperm, in order to try him: So We gave him (the gifts), of Hearing and Sight. 2 We showed him the way, whether he be grateful or ungrateful. 3 We have prepared chains, shackles, and flaming fire (for the disbelievers). 4 Indeed, the righteous will drink from a cup [of wine] whose mixture is of Kafur, 5 From a fountain whence the bondmen of Allah will drink, causing it to gush abundantly. 6 They perform (their) vows, and they fear a Day whose evil flies far and wide. 7 And they give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan, and the captive, 8 [Saying], "We feed you only for the countenance of Allah. We wish not from you reward or gratitude. 9 We are afraid of our Lord and the bitterly distressful day". 10 But Allah will deliver them from the evil of that Day, and will shed over them a Light of Beauty and (blissful) Joy. 11 and recompense them for their patience with a Garden, and robes of silk. 12 Reclining in the (Garden) on raised thrones, they will see there neither the sun's (excessive heat) nor (the moon's) excessive cold. 13 And its shade will cover them, and its fruit clusters brought down low for them. 14 They will be served with silver dishes and crystal clear goblets. 15 Crystal-clear, made of silver: they will determine the measure thereof (according to their wishes). 16 And they will be given to drink there a cup (of wine) mixed with Zanjabil (ginger, etc.), 17 drawn from a spring (in Paradise) called Salsabil. 18 ۞ Immortal youths shall surround them, waiting upon them; when you see them, you would think they are scattered pearls. 19 and when thou seest [anything that is] there thou wilt see [only] bliss and a realm transcendent 20 Upon them will be green Garments of fine silk and heavy brocade, and they will be adorned with Bracelets of silver; and their Lord will give to them to drink of a Wine Pure and Holy. 21 It will be said to them, “This is your reward – indeed your efforts have been appreciated.” 22

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
