If they cry lies to thee, then do thou say: 'I have my work, and you have your work; you are quit of What I do, and I am quit of what you do.' 41 And some of them give ear to thee; what, wilt thou make the deaf to hear, though they understand not? 42 Some of them look toward you: But can you show the blind the way even when they cannot see? 43 Surely Allah does not wrong men; they rather wrong themselves. 44 The day He will gather them together it will appear to them that they had lived (in the world) but an hour of a day to make each other's acquaintance. Verily those who deny the meeting with God will be lost, and not find the way. 45 And whether We show you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) part of what We promise them or whether We call you towards Us before it – in any case they have to return to Us – then Allah is the Witness of their deeds. 46 A Messenger is sent to every people; and when their Messenger comes, the fate of that people is decided with full justice; they are subjected to no wrong. 47 And they say: "When will be this promise (the torment or the Day of Resurrection), - if you speak the truth?" 48 Tell them: 'I have no power to harm or benefit even myself, except what Allah may will. There is an appointed term for every people; and when the end of their term comes, neither can they put it off for an hour, nor can they bring it an hour before. 49 Say: "Have you ever thought if His punishment befalls you at night or in the day, what would the sinners do to despatch it? 50 And when it comes to pass, will you believe in it? What! now (you believe), and already you wished to have it hastened on. 51 Then it shall be said to those who were unjust: Taste abiding chastisement; you are not requited except for what you earned. 52 They ask you, "Is that (punishment) true?" Tell them, "It certainly is. I swear by my Lord. You can not escape from (God's retribution)". 53
