The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Read with the name of your Lord Who created, 1 created the human from a (blood) clot. 2 Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 who has taught [man] the use of the pen 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 Nay, but verily man is rebellious 6 For he thinks he is sufficient in himself. 7 Indeed, to your Lord is the return. 8 Have you seen one who prevents 9 A bondman when he offers the prayer? 10 Have you thought, if he had been on guidance 11 He would enjoin piety, so how good it would be! 12 What do you think? Have you seen if he belies and turns away, 13 Is he then unaware that Allah seeth? 14 Let him know that if he does not desist, We shall certainly drag him by his forelocks, 15 A forelock that lies, is sinful. 16 Then let him summon his council, 17 We will call the guards of hell. 18 No indeed! Do not obey him, but prostrate yourself and come closer to God. ۩ 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
