And remember Our slave Ayub (Job), when he invoked his Lord (saying): "Verily! Shaitan (Satan) has touched me with distress (by losing my health) and torment (by losing my wealth)! 41 Urge with your foot; here is a cool washing-place and a drink. 42 And We bestowed on him his household and along with them the like thereof, out of mercy from us, and a remembrance unto men of understanding. 43 And We said, “Take a broom in your hand and strike her with it, and do not break your vow”; We indeed found him patiently enduring; what an excellent bondman! He is indeed most inclined. 44 And remember Our slaves, Ibrahim (Abraham), Ishaque (Isaac), and Ya'qub (Jacob), (all) owners of strength (in worshipping Us) and (also) of religious understanding. 45 Indeed, We chose them for an exclusive quality: remembrance of the home [of the Hereafter]. 46 In Our eyes they were of the chosen, virtuous people. 47 And remember Ismail and Al-Yasha and Zulkifl; and they were all of the best. 48 This is an admonition, and verily for the God-fearing is a happy retreat: 49 the Gardens of Eden whose gates shall be open to them, 50 wherein they shall recline, wherein they shall ask for abundant fruit and drinks, 51 ۞ And beside them will be chaste females (virgins) restraining their glances only for their husbands, (and) of equal ages. 52 Such is the Promise made, to you for the Day of Account! 53 this is Our provision, unto which there is no end.' 54 All this; but for the insolent awaits an ill resort, 55 They will suffer in hell. What a terrible dwelling! 56 This - let them taste it: scalding water and corruption. 57 And other similar torments. 58 Here is an army rushing blindly with you. (Those who are already in the Fire say): No word of welcome for them. Lo! they will roast at the Fire. 59 They shall say: Nay! you-- no welcome to you: you did proffer it to us, so evil is the resting-place. 60 They will say, "Our Lord, whoever brought this upon us - increase for him double punishment in the Fire." 61 And they say: What aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the wicked? 62 [and] whom we made the target of our derision? Or are they here, and our eyes have missed them?" 63 Truly that is just and fitting,- the mutual recriminations of the People of the Fire! 64
