Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ By the Day of Resurrection, 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul. 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him! 5 He asks, "When will be the Day of Judgment?" 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are joined together, 9 On that Day man will say: "Where (is the refuge) to flee?" 10 But nay: no refuge [for thee, O man]! 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 Upon that day man shall be told his former deeds and his latter; 13 Nay! man is evidence against himself, 14 Though he puts forth his excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue therewith that thou mayest hasten therewith. 16 Surely its collection and recitation are Our responsibility. 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 Countenances on that Day shall be resplendent, 22 and will be looking towards their Lord; 23 And that day will other faces be despondent, 24 Imagining that there will befall them a waiste-breaking calomity. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting; 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 Unto thy Lord that day will be the driving. 30
