The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the night enshrouding 1 And the day resplendent 2 And by Him Who created male and female; 3 O men, you truly strive towards the most diverse ends! 4 We shall facilitate the path to bliss 5 for those who spend for the cause of God, 6 So We will very soon provide him ease. 7 But as for one who is miserly and unheeding, 8 And rejects goodness, 9 for him shall We make easy the path towards hardship: 10 Nor will his wealth profit him when he falls headlong (into the Pit). 11 Indeed, [incumbent] upon Us is guidance. 12 And truly, unto Us (belong) the last (Hereafter) and the first (this world). 13 So, I warn you of the blazing Fire. 14 in which no one will suffer forever except the wicked ones 15 who have rejected the (Truth) and have turned away from it. 16 But the righteous one will avoid it - 17 Who gives away his wealth, purifying himself 18 And no one has done a favour to him, for which he should be compensated. 19 Except as seeking (to fulfil) the purpose of his Lord Most High. 20 And indeed, soon he will be very pleased. 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
