The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 When they sat by it, 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 Who, to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness over everything. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 Who does as He pleases. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 the armies of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 inscribed on a well-guarded Tablet. 22
