It is God who sends down water from the sky for you to drink and produces plants as pasture for your cattle. 10 and by virtue of which He causes crops and olives and date-palms and grapes and all kinds of fruit to grow for you. Surely in this there is a great Sign for those who reflect. 11 He has subjected for you the night and the day and the sun and the moon and the stars have also been made subservient by His command. Surely there are Signs in this for those who use their reason. 12 And He hath subjected for you whatsoever He hath multiplied for you on the earth of various kinds. Verily therein is a sign for a people who receive admonition. 13 It is God who put the oceans at your disposal so that you could find therein fresh fish for food and ornaments with which to deck yourselves with. You will find ships that sail for you so that you may travel in search of the bounties of God and give Him thanks. 14 And He has cast into the earth firmly set mountains, lest it shift with you, and [made] rivers and roads, that you may be guided, 15 And also landmarks; and by the stars they are guided. 16 Is then He Who creates like one that creates not? Will ye not receive admonition? 17 For, should you try to count God's blessings, you could never compute them! Behold, God is indeed much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace; 18 And Allah knows what you conceal and what you declare. 19 Those unto whom they cry beside Allah created naught, but are themselves created. 20 They are dead, not living; nor do they know when they will be raised to life. 21
