The Moon (Al-Qamar)
55 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Comet (Al-Taareq) before S (Saad)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
The Hour has come near, and the moon has split [in two]. 1 (Regardless of any Signs these people see), they turn away and say: “This is an ongoing sorcery.” 2 They also gave the lie to (the splitting asunder of the moon) and only followed their desires. Yet everything is destined to reach an end. 3 And assuredly there hath come unto them tidings wherein is a deterrent. 4 narratives that are full of consummate wisdom. But warnings do not avail them. 5 So (O Muhammad SAW) withdraw from them. The Day that the caller will call (them) to a terrible thing. 6 with downcast eyes they shall come out of their graves, as if they were locusts milling about 7 Hastening towards the caller, the disbelievers will say: "This is a hard Day." 8 ۞ [LONG] BEFORE those [who now deny resurrection] did Noah's people call it a lie; and they gave the lie to Our servant and said, "Mad is he!" - and he was repulsed. 9 Then he invoked his Lord (saying): "I have been overcome, so help (me)!" 10 We opened the gates of the sky and water started to pour down. 11 and made the earth to gush with fountains, and the waters met for a matter decreed. 12 We carried him in a well built, watertight vessel made from planks (of wood) 13 That ran (upon the waters) in Our sight, as a reward for him who was rejected. 14 And We have left this as a Sign (for all time): then is there any that will receive admonition? 15 How terrible was My torment and the result of (their disregard) of My warning. 16 We have made the Koran easy to remember, is there any that will remember! 17 And there belied the A'ad; so how dreadful have been My torment and warning! 18 Lo! We let loose on them a raging wind on a day of constant calamity, 19 and snatched people up as though they were stumps of uprooted palmtrees. 20 And how [severe] were My punishment and warning. 21 And We have indeed made the Qur’an easy to memorise, so is there one who would remember? 22

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
