And verily, the dwellers of Al-Hijr (the rocky tract) denied the Messengers. 80 We brought them Our signs, and they turned away from them. 81 They would carve secure houses out of the mountains. 82 But the shriek seized them at early morning. 83 And of no avail to them was all that they did (with such art and care)! 84 AND [remember:] We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them without [an inner] truth; but, behold, the Hour [when this will become clear to all] is indeed yet to come. Hence, forgive [men's failings] with fair forbearance: 85 Surely your Lord is the All Knowing Creator! 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated, and the mighty Koran. 87 Cast not thine eyes toward that which We have let classes of them to enjoy; and grieve not over them, and lower thy wing unto the believers. 88 and clearly tell the unbelievers: "I am most certainly a plain warner," 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 And severed their Scripture into fragments. 91 Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account, 92 For that which they have been working. 93 So shout that thou art commanded and turn thou away from the idolaters. 94 Surely We will suffice you against the scoffers 95 those who set up another deity alongside Allah. They shall soon come to know. 96 We certainly know that their statements sorely grieve you. 97 But you should glorify your Lord with praises, and be among those who bow in submission; 98 Worship your Lord until you achieve the ultimate certainty. 99
