It is God who has created ears, eyes, and hearts for you. Little are the thanks that you give. 78 And it is He Who has created you on the earth, and to Him you shall be gathered back. 79 And it is He Who gives life and causes death, and His is the alternation of night and day. Will you not then understand? 80 And talk as did the people of old. 81 "When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be raised up again? 82 "Such things have been promised to us and to our fathers before! they are nothing but tales of the ancients!" 83 Say thou: whose is the earth and whosoever is therein, if you know? 84 They will say, God's.' Say: 'Will you not then remember?' 85 Say: 'Who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the mighty Throne?' 86 They will say: "God." Say: "Then why do you not obey and fear Him?" 87 Say, "In whose hands lies sovereignty over all things, protecting all, while none can seek protection against Him? Tell me, if you have any knowledge." 88 They will say, "(It belongs) to Allah." Say: "Then how are ye deluded?" 89 We have revealed to them the truth. But they are certainly liars. 90 Never did God take unto Himself any offspring, nor has there ever been any deity side by side with Him: [for, had there been any,] lo! each deity would surely have stood apart [from the others] in whatever it had created, and they would surely have [tried to] overcome one another! Limitless in His glory is God, [far] above anything that men may devise by way of definition, 91 Knower of the unseen and the seen, Exalted is He above that which they associate! 92
