The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 Does he think that his wealth will prolong his stay on earth forever? 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 It is the Fire kindled by Allah, 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 (And) vaults them over 8 in endless columns! 9
