In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Sad. CONSIDER this Qur'an, endowed with all that one ought to remember! 1 nay, but the unbelievers glory in their schism. 2 How many a generation We have destroyed before them, and they cried out when there was no longer time for escape! 3 They wondered that a warner had come to them from among themselves, and the deniers of the Truth said: “This is a sorcerer, and a big liar. 4 Does he make all the deities out to be one God? This is indeed a strange thing." 5 And their leaders launch forth [thus]: "Go ahead, and hold steadfastly onto your deities: this, behold, is the only thing to do! 6 Never did we hear of [a claim like] this in any faith of latter days! It is nothing but [a mortal man's] invention! 7 Has the reminder been revealed to him from among us? Nay! they are in doubt as to My reminder. Nay! they have not yet tasted My chastisement! 8 Or are theirs the treasures of the mercy of thy Lord, the Mighty, the Bestower? 9 Have they control over heavens and earth and whatever [lies] between them? Then let them climb up to heaven by ropes: 10 Here there is a host of the confederates only to be defeated. 11 Before them, the people of Nooh had denied, and the tribe of A’ad, and Firaun who used to crucify. 12 Thamood, the nation of Lot and the dwellers of the Thicket such were the confederates. 13 Each of them gave the lie to Messengers and My decree of chastisement came upon them. 14

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
