Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 Till an appointed term, 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 For the living and the dead. 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 So like golden camels." 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
