The unbelievers have said, "Shall we and our fathers be brought out of the graves after we become dust? 67 Assuredly we have been promised this aforetime, we and our fathers. Naught is this but fables of the ancients. 68 Say, "Travel through the land and see how terrible was the end of the criminal ones". 69 And grieve you not for them, nor be straitened (in distress) because of what they plot. 70 And they say, “When will this promise come, if you are truthful?” 71 Say: "Perhaps some of what you wish to hasten is right behind you." 72 Surely thy Lord is bountiful to men; but most of them are not thankful. 73 Surely thy Lord knows what their hearts conceal, and what they publish. 74 And there is nothing concealed in the heaven and the earth but it is in a clear book. 75 Indeed this Qur’an narrates to the Descendants of Israel most of the matters in which they differ. 76 And verily it is a guidance and a mercy unto the believers. 77 Verily, [O believer,] thy Sustainer will judge between them in His wisdom - for He alone is almighty, all-knowing. 78 So you place your trust in God. Certainly you stand on positive truth. 79 Surely you do not make the dead to hear, and you do not make the deaf to hear the call when they go back retreating. 80 nor can you direct the blind to the Right Way, preventing them from falling into error. You can make only those who believe in Our verses to hear the call and then submit. 81 ۞ And when the word is fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast of the earth to speak unto them because mankind had not faith in Our revelations. 82
