Surely the God-fearing shall have Gardens of bliss with their Lord. 34 What! shall We then make (that is, treat) those who submit as the guilty? 35 What has happened to you? How do you judge? 36 Or have you a Book in which you read 37 and in which you find all that you may wish to find? 38 Or have We sworn a covenant with you which We are bound to keep till the Day of Resurrection, (a covenant requiring that whatever you ordain for yourselves shall be yours)? 39 Ask them: "Which of you is able to vouch for this?" 40 they will receive the same thing that the Muslims will? Do they have any witness to such an agreement? Let them bring out such witness, if they are truthful. 41 On the day when there shall be a severe affliction, and they shall be called upon to make obeisance, but they shall not be able, 42 Lowered will be their eyes, disgrace overwhelming them. They had indeed been called to bow in homage when they were free of blame. 43 So leave Me and him who rejects this announcement; We will overtake them by degrees, from whence they perceive not: 44 and I shall respite them -- assuredly My guile is sure. 45 Askest thou a hire from them so that they are laden with debt? 46 Or, is the Unseen with them, and they are writing it down! 47 So wait patiently for the judgment of your Lord, and be not like the companion of the fish, when he cried while he was in distress. 48 Had it not been that favour from his Lord had reached him he surely had been cast into the wilderness while he was reprobate. 49 Then his Lord chose him and placed him among the upright. 50 Hence, [be patient,] even though they who are bent on denying the truth would all but kill thee with their eyes whenever they hear this reminder, and [though] they say: "[As for Muhammad,] behold, most surely he is a madman!" 51 The Quran is nothing but a reminder from God to mankind. 52
