The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 sparks of fire striking, 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 which engulfs the enemy. 5 Indeed, the human is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And most surely he is a witness of that. 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised, 9 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
