Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Rivalry in worldly increase distracteth you 1 Until you confronted the graves. 2 No indeed; but soon you shall know. 3 Again, yes certainly, you will soon realise! 4 Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty, 5 you would indeed, most surely, behold the blazing fire [of hell]! 6 Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty; 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
