Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 storming tempestuously 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 and the severally severing 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 excusing or warning, 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
